2020 VIRTUAL Scholarship Night - How to Pay for College

Every fall, Work in Burke, in partnership with Burke County Public Schools (BCPS), College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC), and Western Piedmont Community College (WPCC), host an annual event that helps high school seniors and their parents learn about the FAFSA and gain access to local scholarships.

Many families struggle to pay for college and the pandemic has created even more uncertainties for high school seniors. CFNC Representatives, Skip Watts and JuanEs Ramirez, will host simultaneous sessions in English and Spanish the help students and parents understand the FAFSA and identify scholarships.

Due to COVID-19, the event will be held virtually this year via ZOOM on September 28, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm. The event will be split into two simultaneous sessions: one English and Spanish.
